The Favours Can Go. The Photos Stay.

Personalised sugared almonds? Interesting priorities.

Here's a little wedding secret. Much of what you're agonising over right now won't survive the weekend.

The favours get left on the tables. The flowers wilt by Tuesday. The cake gets eaten, which is, admittedly, the point. Even the dress goes into a box.

The photographs are what's left. They're how you'll remember your gran dancing, your best friend's speech, your mum's face the first time she saw you in the dress. They're what your children will pore over one day, asking who everyone was.

So when the budget spreadsheet starts to bite, think about where the money lasts. Perhaps it's a couple more hours of coverage, so the party makes it into the album. Perhaps it's the morning, so the gin and the gold pocket watch aren't just stories.

I've yet to meet a couple who wished they'd had fancier almonds.

Spend on what stays.

I'm not the loudest wedding photographer in London, and I like it that way. My couples tend to find me the way you find the best table in town: quietly, from someone who's been.

So consider this your whisper. If you want your day documented honestly, beautifully and with a little edge, let's talk. Just keep it between us.
