A polite pinch of confetti? We can do better.
The confetti moment should be glorious. A burst of colour, everyone cheering, the two of you ducking and laughing straight through it. Too often it's a few timid flakes, thrown too early, drifting quietly onto the gravel.
Here's how to get it right.
Be generous. Proper handfuls, not a pinch. Have an usher hand out full cones as guests leave the ceremony, so nobody's rummaging in a pocket at the crucial moment.
Tell people what's coming. A quick announcement means everyone's ready, not halfway through a story.
Throw high, not at you. Up and over, so it falls around you like snow.
And walk slowly. Seriously slowly. It feels ridiculous. It photographs beautifully.
Check with your venue first, as many insist on biodegradable. Proper Confetti does it properly. Get it right, and it's the photo that ends up framed above the mantelpiece, and as your gran's lock screen for the next decade.

Off the Record: CONFETTI DESERVES A PROPER HANDFUL
I'm not the loudest wedding photographer in London, and I like it that way. My couples tend to find me the way you find the best table in town: quietly, from someone who's been.
So consider this your whisper. If you want your day documented honestly, beautifully and with a little edge, let's talk. Just keep it between us.

PSST.
YOU FOUND ME.
