Hello, I’m Graham. For more than 15 years I’ve been a Wotton House Wedding Photographer making it not just one of my most photographed venues but also one of my favourites. Every couple has been different but they’ve all shared one common characteristic, a determination to make sure everyone has a great time while treating them to a “not your average wedding”.
OUTDOOR CEREMONY AT WOTTON HOUSE
If you’ve chosen to hold an outdoor wedding ceremony at Wotton House you’ll be in the gorgeous Italian Garden which is Grade II listed apparently. Holding up to 140 guests this is a real wow setting for your ceremony and as it has never rained at Wotton House you’ll have nothing to worry about regarding the weather.
INDOOR CEREMONY AT WOTTON HOUSE
If you’ve chosen to hold your wedding ceremony indoors you’ll be in the quite stunning Old Library. With its Gothic columns, vaulted ceilings and grand fireplace it’s a genuinely romantic, cosy and rather inviting setting for a Winter wedding ceremony that’s guaranteed to impress your wedding guests.
DRINKS RECEPTION AT WOTTON HOUSE
First things first, make sure to treat yourselves to a two hour drinks reception. Yes, it will cost more in Champagne and Canapés but as this is the one part of the day you get to meaningfully mingle with your guests it will be worth every penny. In nice weather you’ll be basking in the sunshine in the Italian Gardens – where we will also shoot any family photos you need – but if it’s Winter or raining you’ll most likely be having a rather more intimate time mingling in the Old Library along with your guests. Either way you can’t go wrong. Wotton House is one of those rare wedding venues that is equally good in rain or shine.
PARTY TIME AT WOTTON HOUSE
The evening party usually happens in the Evelyn Suite, named after the family that built Wotton House from the profits of the Gunpowder Factory that was housed in a Mill in the grounds next to the River Tillingbourne… so there you go, you learn something amazing every day.
