IT'S SO GORGEOUS

I hadn’t really thought about an album but my Mum said I would regret it if I didn’t get one. I’m so glad I listened, it’s my favourite possession and so gorgeous I could eat it (and it lives on my bedside cabinet).

ALBUMS + FINE ART PRINTS

Photos of the dress, a tear during the ceremony, the table favours or raucous laughter during the speeches wouldn’t mean a great deal on their own. But weave them in to the narrative of the day and you have that couple’s wedding story – a story that deserves to be placed in a book and not just on a hard drive.

YOUR HEIRLOOM

When you make a print, you are making an art object. You can’t hang a JPEG on the wall.

WOW

Flew back from the states this morning and just seen the pics. Don’t really have the words right now. Not sure how you did it, they are unbelievable.

THE BEST

Graham is an absolutely incredible photographer and a really nice guy. My wife and I knew that we really wanted wedding photos that captured the day as it was happening. We were after natural shots of the guests just enjoying themselves rather than the standard formulaic, posed ones. With his unobtrusive style and fantastic eye for a shot Graham’s photographs exceeded our expectations. Even the few posed shots we had were done with originality and were typically excellent. As a testament to his work I have had friends and family tell me that out wedding photos are the best they’ve ever seen! I really can not recommend Graham highly enough as I couldn’t be happier with the results.

SIMPLY PRICELESS

The day passed so quickly, I found myself unable to remember walking down the aisle, speeches and even our first dance. Then we received our sneak peek from Graham and the details, emotion and joy of the day came flooding back. The moments he captured are simply priceless and radiate every emotion we and our guests felt on the day.

Graham is exceptionally talented, open, qualified and is the master of covertness! Our guests loved his discreet approach which meant the images he caught were purely natural and true. There are no words to describe how truly blown away we are by Graham himself and his work.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HERE ARE THE ANSWERS

HOW MANY YEARS AS A PHOTOGRAPHER?

Jimmy Choo Wedding Shoe

I’ve been a full time wedding photographer since 2005 and have photographed over 500 weddings, so you can sleep soundly the night before your wedding knowing that everything is in safe hands.

WHY DO YOU SHOOT WEDDINGS?

I find them endlessly fascinating. When my career in Television wasn’t challenging me any longer I knew I wanted to stay in a creative field where I could continue telling stories with images. After attending a friends wedding I saw the photographer wreck pretty much the whole day and knew it could be done so much better.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

I always start with the assumption that it’s going to rain all day and work back from that position. If I think your venue doesn’t have a sensible wet-weather plan I’ll be let you know at the point you first get in touch. How rain affects your photography is that everything will happen indoors unless it clears up later at which point we’ll dash outside and make the most of it. We can be just as creative indoors though and I always bring some lighting so I can guarantee great results.

WE AREN'T PHOTOGENIC

I’m not entirely sure anyone truly is photogenic and everyone has at least one thing about them they don’t like. Sure, some people are easier to photograph than others but what really counts is that your photos reveal something about your true personality and the connection between the two of you. My number one piece of advice is to have a glass of fizz, relax, and trust me to make sure you look great. All of the featured weddings on my website are here because of the couples personalities and how they embraced every moment of their wedding day, because when people feel good they look good.

DO YOU SHOOT FAMILY PHOTOS?

Yes of course, even though I’m not a traditional wedding photographer and my emphasis is very much on your wedding documentary. No matter what people say before the wedding EVERYONE ends up having at least a few family photos. I’ve worked with over 500 couples to make sure this part of the day doesn’t take up too much time or get stressful but I’ll be honest and say that the only way to keep this quick and easy is to be imaginative with the groups and make sure not to have too many. Six family groups is my recommended maximum and I have a list of groups that is perfect for 9/10 couples. I work with all of my clients in the weeks before the wedding to make sure we have a great balance between what Mum wants and what is actually acheivable given the fact that you’ll want to spend most of your drinks reception enjoying yourself rather than standing in a line with distant relatives.

DO YOU SHOOT DETAILS?

Absolutely. Although I’m not an editorial style photographer (who will place more emphasis on the things you purchased rather then the people you invited) I always look for the details that you spent so much time agonising over. From shoes to flowers to table centrepieces I’ll always make some time to make sure you have a good balance of photos showing the choices you made.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU'RE ILL?

Thankfully this has never happened but even so I have a plan B. If it’s something long term then I’ll get in touch and help you find another photographer. You will of course be refunded anything paid to that date. If I wake up with flu on the morning of the wedding I’ll send someone from my network of excellent photographers. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU?

Yes please. It’s a long day and for some reason in this country we tend to have wedding ceremonies around lunchtime – so that’s at least one meal missed. The caterer usually has a “vendor meal” option which costs much less than what you’re paying for your guests.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE?

Ok, so I’ve never been asked this one but I think it’s important and relevant. I think the old cliche about “this is not a rehearsal” is the best piece of advice I can give. Embrace all of life, even its dissapointments and heartbreaks, these are all part of what makes us grow as individuals. Every now and then we get the opportunity to shape a day exactly the way we want it and your wedding is one of them. On the morning of your wedding it’s too late to start worrying whether it’s all going to work. Accept that it isn’t all going to go exactly as planned but nobody except yourself will even notice. They’ll all be having a great time so join in the fun while you can. Tomorrow is another day.

What next?

The first thing we need to do is check I'm still available for your wedding date and also let me know if you have any questions.

We can then FaceTime to make sure I'm the right photographer for you.

If you would like to secure your date I just need a signed contract and £500 retainer.

I look forward to hearing from you!
