Surrey + LondonGRAHAM NIXON

With 15 years experience and over 500 wedding stories told I'm pretty good at telling stories with photographs. I don't work from templates or simply colour between the lines. Instead I'll be telling the unique story of you.

I work alone (so I can document your wedding discreetly) and spend time getting to know each of my couples so I can tell their story in a more personal way so I therefore only take on a very limited number of weddings each year.

I'm with you from the start of your wedding ceremony all the way through to the end of the speeches. You'll get all the good stuff including those all important first photos of you as a married couple and the essential family photos. The only restriction is that the speeches are at the start of your wedding breakfast.

I'll catch up with the Bride 2 hours before your wedding ceremony for fizz and laughs in the morning and stay with you all the way through to the end of the first dance.During your drinks reception we'll get those essential family photos and the first portraits of you as a married couple.

It's been a long day, much food and drink have been enjoyed and now it's time to kick off those heels and hit the dance floor. I'll also catch up with the boys at the bar. It's 2 hours of after show party and everyone knows that the best part of the day.

I work with a maximum of 25 couples each year and often all dates are booked a year in advance so if you've looked through my wedding galleries and think my approach is right for you please get in touch today and I'll send over my full pricing brochure.

here are the answersGOT A QUESTION?

Q: Are you an experienced wedding photographer?

A: Yes, very experienced. I first studied photography at college way back in 1986 and have photographed over 500 weddings, most of them since I left my previous career in TV in 2005. I've photographed weddings in Sweden, Israel, the USA and Cyprus with anywhere between 2 and 600 guests.

Q: Will you make us do lots of group photos?

A: Absolutely not. Too many couples miss out on their drinks reception (best part of the day) because their photographer didn't advise them honestly on how long group photos take. It isn't the actual photos that take time it's finding Aunt Tilly (checking in a the hotel) and Uncle Edgar (at the bar). I call it kitten herding and have some tactics to help you organise everyone. I recommend you try to keep this part of the day to below 15 minutes.

Q: We aren't naturals in front of the camera and the Groom's ears stick out. What can you do?

A: Nobody is a natural in front of the camera, not even super models... it's just that some people are better at bluffing than others. The most important thing I can do is make sure you stay within your comfort zone. We'll start with the basics - hold hands and walk in a straight line - and slowly build up to something more adventurous. My main aim is to make sure the photos "feel" like you. I'll also bring some glue for the Groom's ears.

Q: I'm an Instagram influencer - can I have a discount?

A: This actually happened and when I checked they had less followers than me. Short answer, no. Long answer, if you're getting married somewhere truly amazing and you would like to take me with you I would love to chat all about it.

Q: How many photos do we get?

A: As the Lady always says at my favourite Chinese Restaurant "You get plenty portion". Every wedding is different and I would never give you 50 photos of the cake just to hit an arbitrary number. I'll give you everything that isn't a test shot, duplicate, unflattering or just plain weird... but if you really need a number for your spreadsheet 400 would be a minimum.

Q: What do we actually get?

A: Good question. Short answer: absolutely everything you need. Long answer: Me taking your photos. Unlimited licence to print and share. Free digital downloads. All the help and advice you need. Planning meeting before your wedding. "Day after" sneak peek for the Instagram addicts. 15 day turnaround of your images (usually faster, I'm fast but thorough). As much coverage as you need. Professional album design (I was a Graphic Designer in a previous life). All travel included. No hidden fees. There is more but I've run out of ink.
